Food for thought

Have you ever wondered, why humans need to lie? Is need too strong a word to use? Or perhaps its no longer a want. Some debated that lying is part and parcel of survival, whereas some admitted lying is a habit. A habit as good as taking drugs, smoking, gambling, drinking, etc etc. Is it a reason or an excuse?
Are there exceptions for lying whereby humans name it a white lie? Define white lie. When is it white and when is it black? Is there any grey areas unknown? When one says its a white lie, does it mean you didnt hurt anyone or you hurt someone to save millions? Or perhaps its just another GOOD excuse. Define morals then.
Is a lie fat? Why people call it a big fat lie when its something intangible? Can a lie take slimming pills then?
If you were to make a choice, lie or lose. Which would u choose?
In my opinion, lying is just to cover one's backside literally. Face it. Think it in another perspective, if you wipe your backside clean enough, covering it will no longer be an issue. No?
