Finally found time to sit down in front of the computer and surf the net without worrying for my work tonight. I've been in my job for almost 3 weeks and I'm overloaded with information as well as the things i need to complete everyday, every month, every quarter, and every year. Its not an easy task since I'm completely new to this job scope. Fortunately the girl who is supposed to handover her work was extremely patient with me. lol. Everyday I'll bombard her with thousand and one questions and to hand over so many things.. it's definitely no joke! Thanx Brenda!
Anyway, speaking of my job scope, I'm considered a "Sai gang warrior" for my department (Visual Merchandising).
1. PA for my BOSS (e.g. arrange his flights and hotels, answer vendors/other country's personnel's questions on his behalf, do his claims, blah blah)
2. VM itself (e.g. Displays in the store and photoshop visuals - New role pathed for me by my BOSS, minor drawing using autocad and 3Dmax - New role also)
3. Coordinator (e.g. Liase with various vendors/contractors, dealers/retailers (approx. 200 dealers), Fossil stores personnel, and other personnel on the regional level as my BOSS is the Regional Director for VM)
4. Fianance (e.g. Do Budgeting, Forecasting, and doing reports)
5. Operations (e.g. Inventorize my stocks and order stocks for Sg market, Asia market, and Australia market)
6. Marketing (e.g. Setting up of stores, store displays)
7. Admin (Filing for my different invoices, forms, etc.)
I didn't know a VM position can be so challenging (at least at this point of time).. lol. Perhaps its because my BOSS is a regional director, thus, it means more jobs. But well, I like to be busy. (=
Anyway, some pictures on the set up of MBS Fossil Store on my 2nd day of work!! OT on the 2nd day already!! lol. That's how busy I can get..
