Stupid school

Just wanna rant about my school.
I like my course, I like doing crafts or even drawing. But somehow I'm feeling terrible like anyone else in my class. Of course not everyone feeling it that way, just exaggerating. I really hate to admit but most of our tutors sucks! I thought I went to the wrong class - Is this at primary or tertiary level? There are so much to complain about.
First and foremost, attendance and punctuality. I know where they're coming at - Deadlines and everything whereby punctuality is vital. Every single second wasted is million dollars of loss, etc. But hey~! This is tertiary school. Can't we decide for ourselves whether we want to attend the class or not? From poly days to uni days, we usually decide for our own fate. I thought that should be the way? Do we need to line up in pairs? *faint*
Secondly, we can't choose our own seats/tables. lol. Thinking of it makes me laugh my ass out. "Register 1 - 6 sit table 1, 7 - 12 sit table 2, blah blah.." My gawd! This is so embarassing, even to type it out! And guess what~! We're shifting seats next semester~! Hooray~! I'm so looking forward!! Duh~! Crap! Wasting my energy moving my trash over. And is it every primary school teacher's style to seperate good friends? lol. They really tickle me for their thinking at times! I mean.. I dont care if I sit with total strangers. Just amused. lol.
Thirdly, my grades usually suck! I dont mind having lousy grades. I know where I stand. I dont have any art background, all my life I've been studying Business, majoring in finance, blah blah. Getting a "D" is a norm?! I'm just feeling frustrated that my grades are usually good in uni and now its like usually straight "D"s. In uni, "D" is DISTINCTION. In Lasalle, "D" is "D". Thats a huge difference Im telling you. And.. To be honest, I think tutors judge with biasness most of the time. I'm not lying, really. They mark students down for crap reasons. I've got a friend who got failed due to her bad presentation which I felt its ridiculous! I think her works worth more than that. Presentation should be of the least importance! Another gf of mine got marked down because of her previous submission. Crap! We were graded before already. How can they mark her down AGAIN due to the previous submission? And she dropped 1 grade because of that, SERIOUS! 1 grade means 10 marks by the way. These poor girls are my good friends. Apperantly and unfortunately we are not pets of tutors so thats the kind of treatment we're getting. I'm just ranting as if I keep it to myself, I think I'll just go berserk and give up on my studies. At this point of time, the most fortunate thing is - I'm still sensible.
On the other hand, there are students who didn't complete their project on time (Last Monday 09/11/09). Yet, they were given a chance to resubmit this Friday (20/11/09). If they pass (usually they will), they'll get "D". From day 1, they specified that non-submission or even partial submission means "F". And thats the kind of fairness they are talking about? What about my poor friends who did full submission yet failed? Are they being fair to them?
Forthly, these tutors are so not professional. I've heard tutors asking students, "What are these nonsense?", when students actually put full effort on doing their work. Or "Iyah! You dont explain lah.. Ball point pen means ball point pen!", when students are being accused of using ball point pen to draw their perspective drawings. Its not by the way. The tutor just thought too highly of himself. There are more, trust me! I was scolded for using masking tape to tape up my board and drawings on the A-frame when ALL, yes ALL, students used masking tape. I was so shocked with his unconstructive comment. Are those tutors too young and inexperience? I mean.. they can be more diplomatic and tactful when giving comments. I believe students can accept critics like "I think this idea is not good" or "I think your drawings need alot improvements" etc. yah? Think about it tutors..
Lastly, we have 3 tutors for 1 module. Its like a matrix leadership style whereby we need to report to 3 different leaders. Many will know this wouldn't work out since different leaders have different views of their own. Besides, we have 60+ students in a class. To get comments from 3 different tutors is almost impossible. The only time when they are all free is the last minute whereby all works should be finalized. To be frank, I'm very affected by this system. I turned to 1 of the 3 lecturers for comments and suggestions. However, the other 2 lecturers didn't agree with my work/ideas. Not only they didn't agree, they opposed it! I'm confused. They are making me confused. Should I not turn to this lecturer next semester?
Trust me! If you're in my position, you need a medium like this to whine alittle. Of course there are much more to complain about. Anyway, enough said. Preparing to meet beh beh. Farewell!
Oh! By the way, just to highlight, I'm from LASALLE College of Arts.
